Satisfactory evidence of identity establishes that the client is who they claim to be.
Satisfactory evidence of identity for an individual is• a copy of the photo page of a passport; and• a copy of an invoice etc which shows the usual residential address of the individual or organisation making the payment.Evidence of identity need only be collected on the first occasion.The evidence for identity needs to be kept in a file for that purpose and retained.If there is any doubt over the source of the funds then the transaction must not proceed.
Satisfactory evidence of identity for an individual is• A copy of the PAN card or photo page of a passport / voter ID/ Licences etc; and• A copy of an invoice etc which shows the usual residential address of the individual or organisation making the payment.
Satisfactory evidence of identity must include receipt of a certified copy of the applicant’s operating licence.
