School nurse means a registered professional nurse with Maine Department of Education certification for school nursing.
School climate means the quality and character of school life with a particular focus on the quality of the relationships within the school community between and among students and adults.
School day means any day or partial day that students are in attendance at school for instructional purposes.
School campus means all areas of the property under the jurisdiction of the school that are accessible to students during the school day.
School year means the period beginning July 1 and ending June 30 next following.
Distance education means education imparted by combination of any two or more means of communication, viz. broadcasting, telecasting, correspondence courses, seminars, contact programmes and any other such methodology;
Preschool child means a child who is three years old or older but is not a school child.
School means an elementary or secondary school.
School bus means every motor vehicle owned by a public or governmental agency or private school and operated for the transportation of pupils, children of pupils, teachers and other persons acting in a supervisory capacity, to or from school or school activities, or, privately owned and operated for compensation for the transportation of pupils, children of pupils, teachers and other persons acting in a supervisory capacity to or from school or school activities (Education Law §11[1] and Vehicle and Traffic Law §142).
Approved abuse education training program means a training program using a curriculum approved by the abuse education review panel of the department of public health or a training program offered by a hospital, a professional organization for physicians, or the department of human services, the department of education, an area education agency, a school district, the Iowa law enforcement academy, an Iowa college or university, or a similar state agency.
School grounds means in, or on the grounds of, a school.
Classroom teacher means a teacher subject to annual performance evaluation review under the provisions of Education Law Section 3012-c.
Backsiphonage means the flow of water or other liquids, mixtures or substances into the potable water system from any source other than its intended source, caused by the reduction of pressure in the potable water system.
Public School Student Accessing Courses at a Distance means a student who is scheduled for a full course load through the District and attends all classes virtually.
Youth Football means those participating at ages under 11s to under 18s.
Public school academy means a public school academy or strict discipline academy organized under the revised school code, 1976 PA 451, MCL 380.1 to 380.1852.
School service means a website, mobile application, or online service that (i) is designed and marketed solely for use in elementary or secondary schools; (ii) is used at the direction of teachers or other employees at elementary or secondary schools; and (iii) collects and maintains, uses, or shares student personal information. "School service" does not include a website, mobile application, or online service that is designed and marketed for use by individuals or entities generally, even if it is also marketed for use in elementary or secondary schools.
Health planning region means a contiguous geographical area of the Commonwealth with a
Tournament means a competition for the playing of Poker, which is restricted to persons who have completed an entry form and have paid the prescribed entry fee;

Preschool means a program licensed to offer early childhood services, which follows a preschool curriculum and course of study designed primarily to enhance the educational development of the children enrolled and which serves no child for more than three hours per day.

School Site means the land set aside for each type of school, such as Elementary, Junior High, Senior High operated by the School Board, including but not limited to municipal school reserve;
