Screening Value definition

Screening Value means the highest emission level that is recorded at each piece of equipment as it is monitored in compliance with Method 21.
Screening Value or “SV” means the instrument reading (ppmv) obtained when components, including but not limited to valves, pump seals, connectors, flanges, open-ended lines and other equipment components, are evaluated for leakage as described in United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Method 21Determination of Volatile Organic Compound Leaks.
Screening Value means the highest emission level that is recorded at each piece of Covered Equipment subject to this Decree as it is monitored in compliance with Method 21;

Examples of Screening Value in a sentence

  • Any site-specific health advisory, Soil Screening Value, developed by the Vermont Department of Health when a standard does not exist for a hazardous material.

  • For industrial scenarios, the industrial EPA Regional Screening Value shall be used.
