  • If You suffer a Serious Injury or Serious Illness during Your Journey, and in Our or the Service Provider’s opinion, it is judged medically appropriate to move You to another location for medical treatment, the Service Provider will arrange the evacuation utilizing the means We or the Service Provider believe to be the most appropriate based on the medical severity of Your condition.

  • If You suffer a Serious Injury or Serious Illness during Your Journey, and in Our or the Service Provider’s opinion, it is judged medically appropriate to return You to Malaysia, the Service Provider will arrange the repatriation utilizing the means We or the Service Provider believe to be the most appropriate based on the medical severity of Your condition.

  • If You suffer a Serious Injury or Serious Illness in Overseas, and in Our or the Service Provider’s opinion, it is judged medically appropriate to move You to another location for medical treatment, the Service Provider will arrange the evacuation utilising the means We or the Service Provider believe to be the most appropriate based on the medical severity of Your condition, subject to the limits set forth in the Schedule of Benefits.

  • If You suffer a Serious Injury or Serious Illness in Overseas, and in Our or the Service Provider’s opinion, it is judged medically appropriate to return You to Malaysia, the Service Provider will arrange the repatriation utilising the means We or the Service Provider believe to be the most appropriate based on the medical severity of Your condition, subject to the limits set forth in the Schedule of Benefits.

  • Death, Serious Injury, or Serious Illness of a Foreign National g.

  • A death certificate must be obtained or written advice from the Medical Practitioner treating You or Your Immediate Family Member confirming the advisability to cancel the Trip due to Serious Injury or Serious Illness.

  • If You suffer a Serious Injury or Serious Illness during Your Overseas Journey for the covered event described above, and in Our or the Service Provider’s opinion, it is judged medically appropriate to move You to another location for medical treatment, the Service Provider will arrange the evacuation utilizing the means We or the Service Provider believe to be the most appropriate based on the medical severity of Your condition.

  • Serious Injury or Serious Illness means a life threatening medicalcondition that first manifested itself during the Period of Plan.

  • If You suffer a Serious Injury or Serious Illness during Your Overseas Journey for the covered event described above, and in Our or the Service Provider’s opinion, it is judged medically appropriate to return You to Malaysia, the Service Provider will arrange the repatriation utilizing the means We or the Service Provider believe to be the most appropriate based on the medical severity of Your condition.

  • Serious injury or illness means an Injury or Illness incurred in the line of duty that may render the member of the Armed Forces medically unfit to perform his or her military duties.

  • Serious injury means a significant overall impairment in the position of a domestic industry;

  • Serious illness means an accident, injury, illness, disease, or physical or mental condition that: poses imminent danger of death; requires inpatient care in a hospital, hospice, or residential medical facility; or requires continuing in-home care under the direction of a physician or health care provider.   • threat of serious injury means serious injury that is clearly imminent;

  • Serious bodily injury means bodily injury which involves a substantial risk of death, extreme physical pain, protracted obvious disfigurement or protracted loss or impairment of the function of a bodily member, organ or mental faculty.

  • Catastrophic injury or illness means a life-threatening injury or illness of an employee or a member of an employee's immediate family that totally incapacitates the employee from work, as verified by a licensed physician, and forces the employee to exhaust all leave time earned by that employee, resulting in the loss of compensation from the state for the employee. Conditions that are short-term in nature, including, but not limited to, common illnesses such as influenza and the measles, and common injuries, are not catastrophic. Chronic illnesses or injuries, such as cancer or major surgery, that result in intermittent absences from work and that are long-term in nature and require long recuperation periods may be considered catastrophic.

  • Serious physical injury means physical injury which creates a substantial risk of death or which causes serious and prolonged disfigurement, prolonged impairment of health, or prolonged loss or impairment of the function of any bodily member or organ;

  • serious incident means any incident that directly or indirectly led, might have led or might lead to any of the following:

  • Serious crime means conduct constituting an offence punishable by a maximum deprivation of liberty of at least four years or a more serious penalty;

  • Injury/Injured means a bodily injury caused by an accident occurring while the Insured’s coverage under this Policy is in force and resulting directly and independently of all other causes of Loss covered by this Policy. The injury must be verified by a Physician.

  • Injury means accidental physical bodily harm excluding illness or disease solely and directly caused by external, violent and visible and evident means which is verified and certified by a Medical Practitioner.

  • Serious physical harm means bodily injury that involves a substantial risk of death, extreme physical pain, protracted and obvious disfigurement, or protracted loss or impairment of the function of a bodily member, organ, or mental faculty.

  • Serious means violations that either result in one or more neg- ative outcomes and significant actual harm to residents that does not constitute imminent danger, or there is a reasonable predictability of recurring actions, practices, situations, or incidents with potential for causing significant harm to a resident, or both.

  • Serious assault means an act that constitutes a felony violation of chapter XI of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.81 to 750.90h, or that constitutes an assault and infliction of serious or aggravated injury under section 81a of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.81a.

  • Catastrophic illness or injury means one of the following:

  • Serious harm means harm, whether physical or

  • Serious Mental Illness . means the following mental disorders as classi­

  • Serious damage ’ means any specific defect defined in this section; or an equally objectionable variation of any one of these defects, any other defect, or any combination of defects which se- riously detracts from the appearance, or the edible or marketing quality of the fruit. The following specific defects shall be considered as serious damage:

  • Serious Misconduct means any misconduct identified as a ground for termination in the Motorola Code of Business Conduct, or the human resources policies, or other written policies or procedures.

  • Catastrophic illness or “injury” means an illness or injury that is expected to incapacitate the employee for an extended period of time, or that incapacitates a member of the employee’s family which incapacity requires the employee to take time off from work for an extended period of time to care for that family member, and taking extended time off work creates a financial hardship for the employee because he or she has exhausted all of his or her sick leave and other paid time off.

  • Moral turpitude means conduct that is wrong in itself even if no statute were to prohibit the conduct; and

  • Felonious Assault means a violent or criminal act reported to the local authorities which was directed at you during the course of, or an attempt of, a physical assault resulting in serious injury, kidnapping, or rape.

  • Compensable injury means an injury by accident arising out of and in the course of hazardous employment which must be established by medical evidence supported by objective medical findings.

  • Likelihood of serious harm means either: (a) A substantial

  • serious criminal offence means an offence which corresponds or is equivalent to one of the offences referred to in Article 2(2) of Framework Decision 2002/584/JHA, if it is punishable under national law by a custodial sentence or a detention order for a maximum period of at least three years;

  • Psychological abuse which shall mean conduct by a custodian intentionally or recklessly causing, by verbal or non-verbal conduct, a substantial diminution of a service recipient's emotional, social or behavioral development or condition, supported by a clinical assessment performed by a physician, psychologist, psychiatric nurse practitioner, licensed clinical or master social worker or licensed mental health counselor, or causing the likelihood of such diminution. Such conduct may include but shall not be limited to intimidation, threats, the display of a weapon or other object that could reasonably be perceived by a service recipient as a means for infliction of pain or injury, in a manner that constitutes a threat of physical pain or injury, taunts, derogatory comments or ridicule.
