small company ’ means a company, other than a public company,—
School entity means a school district, intermediate
Entity means a corporation, partnership, limited liability company or other entity.
Business Entity means a natural or legal person, business corporation, professional services corporation, limited liability company, partnership, limited partnership, business trust, association or any other legal commercial entity organized under the laws of this State or of any other state or foreign jurisdiction;
Legal Entity means the union of the acting entity and all other entities that control, are controlled by, or are under common control with that entity. For the purposes of this definition, "control" means (i) the power, direct or indirect, to cause the direction or management of such entity, whether by contract or otherwise, or (ii) ownership of fifty percent (50%) or more of the outstanding shares, or (iii) beneficial ownership of such entity.
Outside Entity means any:
Local entity means any city, county, city and county, or joint powers authority within the state within whose jurisdiction a State Video Franchise Holder may provide Video Service.6
Nonprofit entity means any entity organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes, or operated by the Federal Government, the State, or any political subdivision of the State.
Qualified entity means an Entity (which itself meets the requirements set forth in clauses (a), (b) and (c) of Section 1.6 above (substituting Entity for references to Qualified Trust in such clause (c)) in which one or more Qualified Trusts described in Section 1.6 hold one-hundred percent (100%) in Fair Market Value of all equity interests in the Entity and hold one-hundred percent (100%) of all voting power in regard to the management and operation of the Entity. An Entity shall cease to be a Qualified Entity and shall be deemed, to the extent it holds Partnership Interests, to become a Former Partner, immediately prior to any event or lapse of time which causes such Entity to no longer be a Qualified Entity as defined in this Section 1.18. The definition of Qualified Entity is intended to describe Entities such as Xxxxxx Management, Inc., a Delaware corporation, or similar type Entities.
Regional Entity shall have the same meaning specified in the Operating Agreement.
Tribal Entity means a federally-recognized tribal entity performing tribal governmental functions and eligible for funding and services from the U.S. Department of Interior by virtue of its status as an Indian tribe.
Nonresident unincorporated business entity means an unincorporated business entity not having an office or place of business within the Municipality.
Other entity means any association or legal entity, other than a domestic or foreign corporation, organized to conduct business, including, but not limited to, a partnership, limited partnership, limited liability partnership, limited liability company, joint venture, joint stock company, business trust, statutory trust and real estate investment trust.
Owns means ownership (either directly or indirectly) of 25% or more of the investor.
Tribal organization means the recognized governing body of any Indian tribe; any legally established organization of Indians which is controlled, sanctioned, or chartered by such governing body or which is democratically elected by the adult members of the Indian community to be served by such organization and which includes the maximum participation of Indians in all phases of its activities: Provided, That in any case where a contract is let or grant made to an organization to perform services benefiting more than one Indian tribe, the approval of each such Indian tribe shall be a prerequisite to the letting or making of such contract or grant; and
Publicly Held Corporation means a corporation the outstanding voting stock of which is registered under Section 12(b) or 12(g) of the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934, as amended.
Listed Entity means an entity whose shares, debt or other securities are quoted on, listed on or marketed through a recognized stock exchange or other equivalent body, whether within or outside of Canada, other than an entity that has, in respect of a particular fiscal year, market capitalization and total assets that are each less than $10,000,000. An entity that becomes a listed entity by virtue of the market capitalization or total assets becoming $10,000,000 or more in respect of a particular fiscal year shall be considered to be a listed entity thenceforward unless and until the entity ceases to have its shares or debt quoted, listed or marketed in connection with a recognized stock exchange or the entity has remained under the market capitalization or total assets threshold for a period of two years.
Small farmer means a cultivator with an un-irrigated land holding up to two hectares or with an irrigated land holding up to one hectare, but more than the holding of a marginal farmer.
Small group market means the health insurance market under which individuals obtain health
Excluded Entity means a corporation or other entity of which the holders of voting capital stock of the Company outstanding immediately prior to such transaction are the direct or indirect holders of voting securities representing at least a majority of the votes entitled to be cast by all of such corporation’s or other entity’s voting securities outstanding immediately after such transaction.
Public entity means this State, a political subdivision of this STATE or an agency, board, commission or department of this state or a political subdivision of this state.
Qualified nonprofit organization means, with respect to a Project, an organization exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c) (3) or (4) of the Internal Revenue Code, which is not and during the Compliance Period will not be affiliated with or controlled by a for-profit organization, whose exempt purposes include the fostering of low income housing, which owns an interest in the Project, which will materially participate in the development and operation of the Project throughout the Compliance Period, and which is not affiliated with or controlled by a for-profit organization.
