Entity means a corporation, partnership, limited liability company or other entity.
Business entity means a natural or legal person, business corporation, professional services corporation, limited liability company, partnership, limited partnership, business trust, association or any other legal commercial entity organized under the laws of this State or of any other state or foreign jurisdiction;
Legal Entity means the union of the acting entity and all other entities that control, are controlled by, or are under common control with that entity. For the purposes of this definition, "control" means (i) the power, direct or indirect, to cause the direction or management of such entity, whether by contract or otherwise, or (ii) ownership of fifty percent (50%) or more of the outstanding shares, or (iii) beneficial ownership of such entity.
Fraternal organization means an organization in this state, other than a college fraternity or sorority, that meets all of the following criteria:
Local entity means any city, county, city and county, or joint powers authority within the state within whose jurisdiction a State Video Franchise Holder may provide Video Service.6
Nonprofit entity means any entity organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes, or operated by the Federal Government, the State, or any political subdivision of the State.
Qualified entity means an Entity (which itself meets the requirements set forth in clauses (a), (b) and (c) of Section 1.6 above (substituting Entity for references to Qualified Trust in such clause (c)) in which one or more Qualified Trusts described in Section 1.6 hold one-hundred percent (100%) in Fair Market Value of all equity interests in the Entity and hold one-hundred percent (100%) of all voting power in regard to the management and operation of the Entity. An Entity shall cease to be a Qualified Entity and shall be deemed, to the extent it holds Partnership Interests, to become a Former Partner, immediately prior to any event or lapse of time which causes such Entity to no longer be a Qualified Entity as defined in this Section 1.18. The definition of Qualified Entity is intended to describe Entities such as Xxxxxx Management, Inc., a Delaware corporation, or similar type Entities.
Tribal Entity means a federally-recognized tribal entity performing tribal governmental functions and eligible for funding and services from the U.S. Department of Interior by virtue of its status as an Indian tribe.
Member organization means any individual, corporation, limited liability company, partnership, or association that belongs to an association.

Listed Entity means an entity whose shares, debt or other securities are quoted on, listed on or marketed through a recognized stock exchange or other equivalent body, whether within or outside of Canada, other than an entity that has, in respect of a particular fiscal year, market capitalization and total assets that are each less than $10,000,000. An entity that becomes a listed entity by virtue of the market capitalization or total assets becoming $10,000,000 or more in respect of a particular fiscal year shall be considered to be a listed entity thenceforward unless and until the entity ceases to have its shares or debt quoted, listed or marketed in connection with a recognized stock exchange or the entity has remained under the market capitalization or total assets threshold for a period of two years.
