Specialist Works definition

Specialist Works means any work separately identified in the Contract and connected with or ancillary to the Works which may from time to time be carried out on the Site by a Specialist Contractor.

  • The provision of clearance around working positions and protection to adjacent works, structures (including underground structures), third party property and other site boundary constraints, to allow the execution of the Specialist Works.

  • Background and task lighting to Working Surfaces to allow safe working and safe access and egress and to facilitate execution of the Specialist Works.

  • No later than three working weeks (or other period as agreed) in advance of the programmed commencement of the Specialist Works on site, provide the Specialist with complete and final construction issue drawing(s), specification(s), pile/panel load schedule(s) in electronic spreadsheet format, and other relevant information required to undertake the Specialist Works.

  • Backfilling of any empty bore/panel excavation with a suitable material which will not obstruct or be deleterious to the works but which will ensure the stability of the Specialist Works and will maintain compliance with Items 11, 12 and 13.

  • Checking the positions and levels of all piles/panels, during the progress and on completion of the Specialist Works (where practicable) including the prompt countersignature of the Specialist’s record sheets by an authorised representative of the Client before the Specialist’s plant has left site.

  • Any pumping or drainage required to keep the site free of flooding, surface water or any water and slurry arising from the Specialist Works.

  • Payment of any rates or fees which may become payable due to occupation of the Specialist Works.

  • Public hearings are held to consider applications requesting Certificates.

  • Shoring and underpinning as necessary, including the removal, replacement or adjustment of timbering or shoring which may impede the Specialist Works.

  • Classification and disposal from site of wastewater from the Specialist Works (such as wash out from water jetting) to comply with current legislation, including for filtering or the provision of settlement tanks as appropriate.

  • Specialist means either a physician or other health care professional who practices in a specific area other than those practiced by primary care providers, or a properly licensed, certified or registered individual health care provider whose practice is limited to rendering mental health services. For purposes of cost-share, this definition of “specialist” does not apply to dentists. BCBSAZ does not require you to obtain an authorization or referral to see a specialist.

  • Training means instruction or teaching designed to impart a specific skill, as opposed to general knowledge.

  • Specialist Physician means a licensed physician who qualifies as an attending physician and who examines a patient at the request of the attending physician or authorized nurse practitioner to aid in evaluation of disability, diagnosis, or provide temporary specialized treatment. A specialist physician may provide specialized treatment for the compensable injury or illness and give advice or an opinion regarding the treatment being rendered, or considered, for a patient’s compensable injury.

  • Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) means an individual who instructs and assists individuals in the alcohol testing process and who operates the EBT.

  • Urgent Works means any urgent measures, which in the opinion of the Engineer-in-charge become necessary during the progress of the work to obviate any risk of accident or failure or which become necessary for security.

  • Technician means an individual determined to be qualified to remove or process parts by an appropriate organization that is licensed, accredited, or regulated under federal or state law. The term includes an enucleator.

  • Medical Specialist means any medical practitioner who is vocationally registered by the Medical Council under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 in one of the approved branches of medicine and who is employed in either that branch of medicine or in a similar capacity with minimal oversight.

  • Nail technician means any person who for compensation manicures or pedicures natural nails, or who performs artificial nail services for compensation, or any combination thereof.

  • Certified pharmacy technician or “certified technician” means an individual who holds a valid current national certification and who has registered with the board as a certified pharmacy technician.

  • Laboratory or “LANL” means the geographical location of Los Alamos National Laboratory, a federally funded research and development center owned by the DOE / NNSA.

  • Clinician means a physician licensed under chapter 37 of title 5; a nurse licensed

  • Pharmacy technician or “technician” means a person who is employed in Iowa by a licensed pharmacy under the responsibility of an Iowa-licensed pharmacist to assist in the technical functions of the practice of pharmacy, and who is registered pursuant to 657—Chapter 3, and includes a certified pharmacy technician, a pharmacy technician trainee, and an uncertified pharmacy technician.

  • Engineering means the application of scientific knowledge for the design, control, or use of building structures, equipment, or apparatus.

  • Aide means the individual designated to be responsible for helping the program leader in supervising children and in implementing the activities and services for children. Aides may also be referred to as assistant teachers or child care assistants.

  • WorkSafeBC means the Workers Compensation Board, a provincial Crown corporation created pursuant to the Workers Compensation Act (British Columbia);

  • Professional Technologist means a person holding registration as Professional Engineering Technologist in terms of the Engineering Profession Act, 2000.

  • Fresher means a student who has been admitted to an institution and who is undergoing his/her first year of study in such institution.

  • Emergency medical technician means a person who is either an EMT-I, EMT-II, or EMT-P (paramedic), and possesses a valid certificate or license in accordance with the standards of Division 2.5 (commencing with Section 1797) of the Health and Safety Code.

  • Cosmetologist means an individual authorized to engage in all branches of cosmetology in a licensed facility.

  • Engineer means the representative of the Architect/consultant.

  • Specialist medical practitioner means a specialist as defined in section 3 of the Health Insurance Act 1973.

  • Personnel means persons hired by the Service Provider or by any Subcontractor as employees and assigned to the performance of the Services or any part there of;

  • Professional geologist means a person who is a graduate of an institution of higher education which is accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency, with a minimum of thirty semester (forty-five quarter) hours of undergraduate or graduate work in a field of geology and whose post-baccalaureate training has been in the field of geology with a specific record of an additional five years of geological experience to include no more than two years of graduate work. 23-41-208, C.R.S. and 34-1-201, C.R.S.

  • Architect/Engineer (A/E means a person registered as an architect pursuant to Tex. Occ. Code Ann., Ch. 1051, as a landscape architect pursuant to Tex. Occ. Code Ann., Ch. 1052, a person licensed as a professional engineer pursuant Tex. Occ. Code Ann., Ch. 1001, and/or a firm employed by Owner or Design-Build Contractor to provide professional architectural or engineering services and to exercise overall responsibility for the design of a Project or a significant portion thereof, and to perform the contract administration responsibilities set forth in the Contract.

  • Systems Engineering means preparing specifications, identifying and resolving interface problems, developing test requirements, evaluating test data, and supervising design.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer means a person acceptable to Buyer in its reasonable judgment who (a) is licensed to practice engineering in California, (b) has training and experience in the power industry specific to the technology of the Project, (c) has no economic relationship, association, or nexus with Seller or Buyer, other than to meet the obligations of Seller pursuant to this Agreement, (d) is not a representative of a consultant, engineer, contractor, designer or other individual involved in the development of the Project or of a manufacturer or supplier of any equipment installed at the Project, and (e) is licensed in an appropriate engineering discipline for the required certification being made.
