Substance Use Disorders definition

Substance Use Disorders means disorders related to the taking of a drug of abuse including alcohol to the side effects of a medication and to a toxin exposure. The disorders include substance use disorders such as substance dependence and substance abuse and substance-induced disorders, including substance intoxication, withdrawal, delirium, and dementia, and includes but is not limited to substance induced psychotic disorder, mood disorder, as defined in DSM criteria.
Substance Use Disorders means alcohol or drug dependence or psychoactive substance use disorder as defined by current DSM criteria or by other standardized and widely accepted criteria.
Substance Use Disorders and “SUD(s)” each means disorders related to the taking of a drug of abuse including alcohol, to the side effects of a medication, or to a toxin exposure.
