Tahsildar definition

Tahsildar means the Tahsildar of a revenue taluk;
Tahsildar means the Tahsildar in whose jurisdiction the wet land is situate and includes a Deputy Tahsildar in independent charge of a taluk or sub-taluk and any other officer of the Revenue Department not below the rank of a Deputy Tahsildar empowered by the Government to exercise the powers and perform the functions of the Tahsildar under this Act;
Tahsildar means the Tahsildar having jurisdiction over the area in which the inam lands are situate and includes a Deputy Tahsildar in charge of the taluk or sub-taluk in which the inam lands are situate and an officer of the Revenue Department not lower in rank than a Deputy Tahsildar empowered by the Government in this behalf;

Examples of Tahsildar in a sentence

  • If, however, it is based on residence, a certificate should be obtained from an officer of the Revenue Department not below the rank of Tahsildar or Deputy Tahsildar in independent charge of Mandal.

  • If, however, a candidate has resided in more than one Mandal during the relevant four/seven years period but within the same District or Zone as the case may be separate certificates from the Tahsildar exercising jurisdiction have to be obtained in respect of different areas.

  • MSEs owned by SC/ST entrepreneurs are required to submit supporting documents like caste certificate (duly notarized) of the Proprietor / Partners issued by the Tahsildar / MRO / Magistrate or any Government authorized department.

  • Dy. Commissioner/Dy. Collector/First Class Stipendary Magistrate/ Sub-Division Magistrate/Taluka Magistrate/Executive Magistrate/Extra Assistant Commissioner/Chief Presidency Magistrate/Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate/Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar Sub Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and/or his/her family normally resides.

  • If however, he/she has not studied in any educational institution and obtained SSC or its equivalent qualification or Open School, Private Study basis, he/she has to produce residential certificate issued by the Tahsildar.
