Temporary and Casual Employee Policy Manual means Annex 2 to the Employees Division Regulations (2007); (NGSL 2012-03)

  • Casual Employees are employed on an "on call" basis to cover absences due to sick leave, vacation, or other approved leaves, or to augment staff during peak periods or periods of staff shortage.

  • Technical Employees means those employees having special and specific engineering, geological or other professional skills, and whose primary function in Joint Operations is the handling of specific operating conditions and problems for the benefit of the Joint Property.

In the case of an Employee Program funded through an organization described in Code Section 501(c)(9), each reference to such Employee Program shall include a reference to such organization;

  • Temporary Employees means those employees hired to replace regular employees absent due to illness, accident, vacation, leave of absence, etc., or hired to perform work on projects or assignments of limited duration. The employment of temporary employees hired to perform work on projects or assignments of limited duration shall be limited to a period of ninety (90) days of work in any twelve (12) month period, commencing from the date of hire or commencement of employment in such period. The period of employment for temporary employees hired for all other purposes shall be limited to twelve (12) months. A project or assignment of limited duration shall not exceed eighteen (18) weeks’ duration in any twelve (12) month period. Any projects or assignments of limited duration in excess of that provided for herein will be posted.

  • Seasonal employment means the employment of 1 or more individuals primarily hired to perform services during regularly recurring periods of 26 weeks or less in any 52-week period other than services in the construction industry.

  • income-related employment and support allowance means an income-related allowance under Part 1 of the Welfare Reform Act 2007;

  • Casual Employee means an employee who has no set hours or days of work and who is normally asked to work as and when required.

  • Auxiliary Employee meaning an employee who is employed for work which is not of a continuous nature such as: 1. seasonal positions; 2. positions created to carry out special projects or work which is not continuous; 3. temporary positions created to cover employees on vacation, short term disability leave, education leave, compassionate leave, or other leave; 4. temporary positions created by special programs such as the summer student employment program, winter works programs for the unemployed, emergencies such as floods or other special temporary programs;

  • Business Benefit Plan means each Benefit Plan that is contributed to, sponsored, maintained or entered into by Seller or a Retained Subsidiary, a Purchased Subsidiary or any Affiliate of any of them for the benefit of any Business Employee.

  • New employee orientation means the onboarding process of a newly hired public employee, whether in person, online, or through other means or mediums, in which employees are advised of their employment status, rights, benefits, duties and responsibilities, or any other employment-related matters.

  • Public employees retirement system means the retirement plan and program

  • Qualifying Educational Program means a program at a post-secondary school level of not less than three consecutive weeks duration that requires each student taking the program to spend not less than 10 hours per week on courses or work in that program.

  • International Employee Plan means each Company Employee Plan that has been adopted or maintained by the Company or any Affiliate, whether informally or formally, or with respect to which the Company or any Affiliate will or may have any liability, for the benefit of Employees who perform services outside the United States;

  • Employee Welfare Benefit Plan has the meaning set forth in ERISA Section 3(1).

  • Excluded Employees has the meaning set forth in Section 14.1.
