The resignation takes effect on its acceptance by the Head of State, acting with, and in accordance with, the advice of the National Executive Council.
If the Governor-General is suspended from office by the National Executive Council under Subsection (1)(a), the Prime Minister shall immediately inform the Speaker of the suspension and of the reasons for it.
