TRANSFERS AMONG SUBACCOUNTS definition

TRANSFERS AMONG SUBACCOUNTS. You may transfer all or part of your Contract Value among the subaccounts. Your request will be processed as of the end of the valuation period during which your request is received in good order. The number of transfers allowed each contract year without charge is shown in the Contract Schedule. We reserve the right to charge for each additional transfer as shown in the Contract Schedule. The minimum amount which may be transferred from any subaccount in any transaction is shown in the Contract Schedule. An excessive number of transfers, including short-term "market timing" transfers, may adversely affect the performance of the underlying portfolio in which a subaccount invests. If, in our sole opinion, a pattern of an excessive number of transfers develops for a Contract, we reserve the right not to process a transfer request. We also reserve the right not to process a transfer request when the sale or purchase of shares or units of an underlying portfolio is not reasonably practicable due to actions taken or limitations imposed by the underlying fund.
