Ultimate tensile strength definition

Ultimate tensile strength means the greatest amount of load applied to a bungee cord prior to failure.
Ultimate tensile strength means the maximum tensile stress that a material can sustain under uni-axial tension, calculated on the basis of the load at rupture and the original unstrained dimensions.
