Unoccupied Building definition

Unoccupied Building means, for the purposes of this By-law, any building that is not occupied by the owner or tenant under a tenancy agreement and has been accessed by unwanted persons, but does not meet the definition of a vacant building, and may include a newly or partially constructed building that is or appears to be actively used for a legitimate purpose or appears dormant or abandoned.
Unoccupied Building means a building that is not currently used for the permanent or continuous shelter, accommodation or enclosure of persons, animals or chattels.
Unoccupied Building means a building that is not actively used as a dwelling.

More Definitions of Unoccupied Building

Unoccupied Building means a building or portion thereof which lacks the habitual presence of human beings who have a legal right to be on the premises, including buildings ordered vacated by the director pursuant to authority granted by the code. In determining the whether a building is "unoccupied," the director may consider these factors, among others:
