Watershed processes means the dynamic physical and chemical in- teractions that form and maintain the landscape and ecosystems on a geographic scale of watersheds to basins (hundreds to thousands of square miles). The most important factors include the movement of wa- ter, sediment, nutrients, pathogens, toxic compounds, and wood.
