Date of commencement and completion. The Contractor shall be allowed admittance to the site on "Date of Commencement" stated in the Appendix hereto, or each later date as may be specified by the Employer and be shall thereupon and forthwith begin the works and shall regularly proceed with and complete the same (except such painting or other decorative work as the bank may desire to delay) or before the "Date of Completion" stated in the Appendix subject nevertheless to provisions for extension of time hereinafter contained. 27)
