This study was conducted to basically, businessmen (which are in the context of shipping), tend to be economically minded by reducing expense that is practically implemted by arranging working agreement for a specific period on some continuous and routine jobs, especially considering that shipping activities through water route takes much time. Considering this, businessmen opt for making employment agreement with crews for a specific period of time, which is only during the voyage until the time when the ship comes back to port of discharge. The contract is ended at that point and a new recruitment will be held when there is a new voyage coming up. The working agreement is implemented by contract system that allows the agreement to be valid for a certain period of time only. Employers employ crews only for the duration of the voyage until the ship comes back to the port of discharge where the employment contract ends.
