Liability. 1. The Lessor shall be liable towards the Lessee for performance of the rental agreement, including defects of the vehicle, in compliance with the provisions of the Civil Code, with the provisions of the agreement and with the provisions of these Regulations, except as provided for in section VII subsection 2 and 3.
