This article aims to discuss the dating contract and its legal implications in the Brazilian system. Considering that with the advent of article 1.723 of the Civil Code, the difference between a stable union and simple courtship has become very tenuous. Today, couples of lovers to protect their assets and not have the relationship configured as a stable union, envision the dating contract as an instrument to relate with the boyfriend (a) without the concern of having the legal consequences arising from the configuration of the relationship. stable union, such as the right to inheritance in the event of death; right to alimony in case of termination of the relationship; the right to share assets, among other rights inherent to the stable union. For this, the study will use the deductive method, because, through its construction, it will seek to outline the main aspects related to the contract institute and, in particular, to its legal implications as it is made to govern the courtship.
