1. ISebe leMfundo leNtshona Koloni (XXxxx xXXXX) linqwenela ukupapasha ukufumaneka kweebhasari eziyi-66 zeemeko ezizodwa zeFunza Lushaka (extraordinary Funza Lushaka bursaries) zonyaka wokufunda ka-2020 kubafundi beBakala 12 abanenjongo yokulandela izifundo zokufumana amabanga emfundo yokuqeqeshelwa ukufundisa (formal teaching qualification).

2. ISkim seBhasari i-Funza Lushaka Bursary Scheme seSebe leMfundo esiSiseko (ISebe i-DBE) sinika abafundi abapasa emagqabini ibhasari yokuhlawula ngokupheleleyo iifizi zokufunda, ezendawo yokuhlala nokutya, isibonelelo seencwadi zezifundo, seenowuthsi nefizi zelebhu (notes and laboratory fees) (apho kufanelekileyo), nesitayiphendi esiyimali yaqho ngenyanga (monthly stipend) yokuhlawulela iintwana-ntwana eziyimfuneko (basic living expenses).

3. I-Funza Lushaka Bursary Scheme yiprogram yeminyaka ngeminyaka (multi-year programme) eyaqaliswa ngo-2007 ukuphakamisa umsebenzi wokufundisa kwizikolo zikarhulumente njengekhondo elinokukhethwa ngabemi baseMzantsi Afrika abanako nabazimiseleyo. Le program iqhutywa apha kule ngingqi, kwi-University of Western Cape kwi-Stellebosch University, naseCape Peninsula University of Technology.

4. Ngo-2012, iSebe i-DBE laqalisa ngeprogram yokugaya abafundi eqhubekela kwizithili (district-based recruitment programme) ethagetha abafundi abakwiindawo ezithwaxwa yintlupheko (abafundi abakwizikolo ezingabizi zifizi okanye abafundi abakuxolelweyo ukuhlawula iifizi) ukubanceda ukuba bafumane iFunza Lushaka Bursary Scheme. 5. Ukunikwa ibhasari yeFunza Lushaka kuxhomekeke kule miqathango ilandelayo:

(a) Iprogram iya kuxhasa ngezimali abo bafundi bagxininisa kwezi zifundo zilandelayo:

i) I-BEd: kwiSigaba seSiseko kugxininiswa: kwiiLwimi (IsiXhosa, isi-Afrikansi, isiNgesi. ii) I-BEd: KwiSigaba esiPhakathi kugxininiswa: kwiiLwimi, kwiMathematika,

kwiThekhnoloji nakwiiSayensi (kungabandakanywanga ii-Social Sciences).

iii) I-BEd: kwiSigaba saBaphezulu kugxininiswa: kwiiLwimi, (ubukhulu becala kwisiNgesi) kwiMathematika, kwiThekhnoloji nakwiiSayensi (kungabandakanywanga ii-Social Sciences).

iv) I-BEd: kwiSigaba seFurther Education and Training kugxininiswa: kwiiLwimi (ubukhulu becala kwisiXhosa), kwiMathematika, kwi-Physical Sciences, kwi-Life Sciences, kwi-Civil Technology, kwi-Electrical Technology, kwi-Engineering Graphics and Design, kwi-Mechanical Technology, kwi-Computer Applications Technology, kwi-Technical Mathematics, nee-Technical Sciences.

(b) Ibhasari yeyonyaka wokufunda omnye ngexesha yaye, xa kukho ubungqina bokuphumelela kwizifundo, inokuhlaziywa kwakhona kunyaka ngamnye de lowo onikwe ibhasari aphumelele isiqinisekiso sokuba ngutitshala oqeqeshiweyo. Kuya kufuneka onikwe ibhasari afake isicelo kwakhona ekupheleni kuka-Oktobha kunyaka ngamnye ukulungiselela unyaka olandelayo

(c) Akuyigqiba ikhosi yezifundo, umfundi onikwe ibhasari kuya kufuneka afundise esikolweni esisemaphandleni esikwingingqi yakhe ahlala kuyo njengangoku ithuba lonyaka omnye ngonyaka ngamnye afumene ibhasari ngawo.

6. Ngaphezulu, abenzi-sicelo abalindelekileyo mabenze izicelo zokwamkelwa kula maziko emfundo ephakamileyo (Higher Education Institutions) (ii-HEI) ahlukeneyo bethathela ingqalelo umhla wokuvala we-30 Juni 2019 yaye mabazifezekise iimfuno ezimiselweyo zokwamkelwa kula maziko azii-HEI ahlukeneyo achazwe kumhlathi 3 apha ngentla. Yikomiti yokhetho kaNdlunkulu weSebe iWCED eKapa, xxx xxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx kwiSebe leMfundo likazwelonke ngokuvunywa kweebhasari ngokwezinto aqaqambe ngazo umenzi-sicelo (on merit), ngokusekelwe kwezi khrayitheriya zezifundo (academic criteria) zizezona zisezantsi zilandelayo:

(a) Ukupasa kwinqanaba leBakala 12 ube nako “ukwamkelwa kwizifundo zesidanga

sokuqala (“admission to Bachelor’s degree studies”)

(b) Umenzi-sicelo makamkelwe kwiprogram yesidanga seBEd esivunyiweyo esigxininisa kwiinkalo ezimbini okanye ezingaphezulu zezifundo ezithathwa njengezibaluleke gqitha (priority areas).

(c) Ukupasa uLwimi lweeNkobe ngo-60% okanye ngaphezulu, uLwimi lokuQala oloNgezelelweyo ngo-50% okanye ngaphezulu nezinye izifundo ezine ngo-50%.

(d) Abafundi abanqwenela ukugxininisa kwiSigaba seSiseko, mabapase iMathematika okanye uLwazi lweMathematika (Mathematical Literacy) kwinqanaba leBakala 12.

(e) Abafundi abanqwenela ukugxininisa ekufundiseni izifundo zobugcisa (technical subjects) zethekhnoloji, mababe bayipasile i-Mathematics/i-Technical Mathematics ne-Physical Sciences/Technical Science.
