Examples of Unpaid Leave of Absence in a sentence
Unpaid Leave of Absence referred to above will be granted provided other employees in the bargaining unit are available and qualified to perform the job being vacated because of the leave.
Employees who are absent from work and in receipt of WCB wage loss replacement benefits shall be considered as being on Unpaid Leave of Absence, except that seniority and benefits shall continue to accrue.
Where the Workers’ Compensation Board denies an employee’s claim (and/or appeal, if applicable), the employee shall reimburse the Employer for any health and welfare premiums paid by the Employer in accordance with Health and Welfare Benefits While on Unpaid Leave of Absence.
Employees who are absent from work and in receipt of Workers’ Compensation Board wage loss replacement benefits shall be considered as being on Unpaid Leave of Absence, except that seniority and benefits shall be applied as follows: • seniority hours shall continue to accrue; • accumulative benefits shall continue to accrue; • the Health and Welfare provisions will continue to apply.
