Common use of Absence Without Permission Clause in Contracts

Absence Without Permission. If an employee does not report to work because of illness or any other reason and fails to notify their supervisor, or the Human Resources Office in the event the supervisor is unavailable the first day of absence, the employee will be considered as absent without permission. If an employee is absent without permission three (3) scheduled days during any two-month period, they will be given a written warning. An employee will be liable for dismissal after a second warning. If an employee is absent without permission for three (3) consecutive scheduled working days, they will be considered as having left the service of the University.
