Benefit Entitlement. When an employee is on a WCB claim all benefits of the Agreement will continue to accrue. However, an employee off work on WCB claim shall receive net wages as defined by (A) above, and benefits equalling but not to exceed their normal entitlement had they not suffered a compensable injury. For the first twenty (20) work days on claim, an employee will accrue paid holidays and vacation credits. Once the claim exceeds twenty (20) work days, paid holidays and vacation credits will not accrue. However, unused vacation credits accrued prior to the claim shall not be lost as a result of this clause.

Regular part-time employees are entitled to all benefits of the Agreement on a proportionate basis with the exception of medical, extended health and dental plan coverage, LTD and group life insurance premiums, which shall be paid on the same basis as for regular full-time employees. All casual employees who have completed 172.8 hours with the Employer may elect to enroll in the following benefit plans – medical services plan, dental plan, and extended health plan if the employee pays the full monthly premiums in advance to the Employer. An employee making such an election under this provision must enroll in each and every one of the benefit plans and shall not be entitled to except any of them. Where a casual employee subsequently elects to withdraw from the benefit plans, she must withdraw from all three plans. Casual employees failing to maintain the required payments, shall have the benefit plans terminated. Those employees who voluntarily terminate, or are terminated from the plans by the Employer, will not be entitled to re-enroll.

Benefit Entitlement. Workers on leaves of absence without pay for more than two biweekly pay periods shall not be entitled to payment of the County's portion of health, dental, life, or long-term disability insurance premiums, except as provided hereinafter. The entitlement to payment of the County's portion of the premiums shall end on the last day of two full biweekly pay periods in which the worker was absent. A worker who is granted a leave of absence without pay due to the worker's illness or accident shall be entitled to two biweekly pay periods of the County's portion of the insurance premiums for each year of County service or major fraction thereof, up to a maximum of twenty-six biweekly pay periods payment of premiums.
Benefit Entitlement. Casual employees shall be paid any earned shift premium, weekend premium, special allowance, overtime, travel allowance pay, and premium pay for work on a paid holiday.
