Access to Grievance Procedure. Though employees will have no independent unilateral privilege or right to invoke the grievance procedure, an employee’s complaint may be presented to his/her supervisor. If the issue is not resolved, it may be referred to STEP 1. STEP 1 - Supervisor/designee- A grievance must be presented in writing by the shop xxxxxxx or the Union representative within thirty (30) calendar days of the occurrence or employee/union knowledge of such grievance. The grievance shall be presented to the employee’s supervisor or designee and will describe the event or circumstances being grieved, the provision(s) of the Agreement(s) that have allegedly been violated and the remedy sought.
