Xxxxxxx Training. During each year of this Agreement the Union’s principal officer may request that Union stewards be provided with up to one work day of release time without loss of pay to participate in the xxxxxxx training programs sponsored by the Union.

Xxxxxxx Training. A permanent Xxxxxxx may, on request, and with the mutual approval of the Employer, return to his former position for the purpose of maintaining his skills and knowledge as a Technical employee. A Xxxxxxx who utilizes this option will be paid the applicable wage rate for the Technical position he returns to and he will have up to three (3) months during which he can decide to resume his Xxxxxxx'x role.

Xxxxxxx Training. Job Stewards appointed for the first time after January 1, 2010, will be permitted to use up to eight (8) hours of their Job Xxxxxxx Leave as described above, for purposes of training as a Job Xxxxxxx. Additionally, the Union may designate up to fifty percent (50%) percent of their current Job Xxxxxxx workforce in any year of the Agreement to train as representatives at grievance hearings. Those Job Stewards so designated shall be permitted to use Job Xxxxxxx Leave to observe a maximum of three (3) Step One or Two Hearings (not to exceed twelve (12) hours) during the term of this Agreement.
Xxxxxxx Training. The Employer agrees to release each Xxxxxxx from work for two (2) days each year, without loss of pay, to attend “Xxxxxxx Training Seminars” sponsored by the Union. Union will be responsible to paying substitute costs.
Xxxxxxx Training. (A) Xxxxxxx Supervisory Skills. The Association, the Union, and the respective training affiliates agree to commence efforts on journeyman skill advancement training programs which focus on foremen’s supervi- sory skills and responsibilities. Xxxxxxx Training. Permanent Foremen may, on request, and with the mutual approval of the Employer, return to functional journeyman technician positions for the purpose of maintaining their skills and knowledge as technicians. Foremen who elect to utilize this provision will be allowed up to three (3) months to do so and they will be paid the Journeyman Technician rate.
Xxxxxxx Training. MainePERS shall provide, in the aggregate to be divided among all the stewards in whatever manner the chapter sees fit, up to twenty-four (24) hours of leave per year without loss of pay or benefits for chapter participation in official MSEA sponsored xxxxxxx training. Prior to leaving his/her work station to perform such duties the employee shall obtain the consent of his/her supervisor. If participation results in the need to work more than 40 hours in the workweek, then such time will be paid at straight time rates.
