Common use of Accreditation, Licensure Or Certification Clause in Contracts

Accreditation, Licensure Or Certification. Employees who are assigned or volunteer and are approved by the Employer to assume additional duties in their job classification which requires accreditation, licensure or certification, shall be granted time off with pay, consistent with the operational needs of the Employer, and be reimbursed for any cost associated with the accreditation, licensure or certification. The Employer shall, consistent with operational needs, grant the necessary time off with pay and/or provide in-service training for employees required to maintain accreditation, licensure or certification as a minimum qualification for their position. The Employer may, but is not required to, reimburse the costs required to maintain accreditation, licensure, or certification. In addition, the Employer will pay the cost of and grant time off for physical examinations required for obtaining and renewing Commercial Driver's Licenses. The Employer shall reimburse the annual cost associated with an employee obtaining/retaining CNA certification. In the event the employee is unable to obtain or retain accreditation, licensure or certification for medical reasons the State will provide career counseling and assist in identifying other State positions for which the employee may qualify.
