Accrual and Banking of RDOs. 22.4.1 If an Employee is required to forgo an RDO, the Company may agree to the banking of the Employee’s RDO hours. Such hours will be accrued and banked at 7.6 hours ordinary hours at the Employee’s base rate of pay. 22.4.2 The maximum allowable banked RDOs hours in a calendar year will be capped at 38 ordinary hours. 22.4.3 An Employee may request, in writing, to cashing out their banked RDO hours. Such payments will be paid at the employee’s base rate of pay for the job classification they ordinarily perform. 22.4.4 In the event an Employee’s banked hours exceeds 38 hours or the Employee has not utilised the banked RDO hours within the same calendar year, then the Company may direct the Employee to: a) utilise their banked RDO hours by taking paid leave; or b) cash out any banked RDO hours at the Employee base rate of pay for the job classification they ordinarily perform.
