Accumulation of Seniority Rights. An employee continues to accumulate his seniority during any leave provided for in the collective agreement, or in the application thereof, or otherwise authorized, for the duration of the absence, with the exception of the following cases: a) In the event of a leave of absence without pay provided for in clause 24.01 seniority ceases to accumulate after a period of twelve (12) months. b) In the event of a leave due to a work-related accident or an illness or an accident, an employee accumulates seniority for a maximum of twenty-four (24) months.
