Common use of Act of God Clause in Contracts

Act of God. When a decision is made to close the entire School District because of an Act of God, notice of such decision shall be given to the employees, by whatever means, or as soon as possible for public announcement on Detroit area radio stations. When such a closing takes place and students are not required to report to class on a system-wide basis, employees covered by this Agreement shall not be required to report for work and will receive pay for the day.
