ACTING INCUMBENCY. 21.01 An Employee who is assigned by the Employer to replace another Employee in a higher paid classification in the bargaining unit shall be paid the rate of pay for the higher classification in which the Employee is relieving. 21.02 When an Employee is required to temporarily perform the duties of a lower paid classification, her Basic Rate of Pay will not be changed. 21.03 On each occasion that an Employee is designated in writing by the Employer to replace and/or assume additional responsibilities during the absence of an out-of- scope Employee, such Employee shall be paid an additional one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour.
