Meetings During Grievance Procedure. (a) A Union Xxxxxxx shall not discuss a grievance, or leave his place of work to investigate a grievance, during working hours without first obtaining permission from his Supervisor to do so. Such time off shall be at a normal rate of pay.
(b) The Designated Officer or the aggrieved may request that a written grievance be discussed at Xxxxx 0 of the Grievance Procedure. A Union Staff Member or Union Xxxxxxx shall be allowed to be present at these discussions, if desired by the grievor. The grievor's request for a discussion shall not be unreasonably denied. This discussion shall be recognized as the grievor's opportunity to clarify the circumstances surrounding his grievance. When a request for discussion has been approved, leave with pay shall be allowed. However, the grievor and any accompanying Union Xxxxxxx shall inform their respective Supervisors before leaving and upon returning to their respective work places. Expenses incurred in attending the meeting may be claimed in accordance with the Travel Policy.

(b) An Employee who wishes to discuss his grievance with representatives of the Employer at any level of the grievance procedure shall obtain the permission of his immediate supervisor before leaving his place of work for this purpose and shall report back to his immediate supervisor before resuming his normal duties.
(c) An authorized Union representative shall not enter a place of work to discuss a grievance with an Employee or Employees without first obtaining permission from the Employer’s Human Resources Office to do so.

(b) An aggrieved Employee who wishes to discuss the grievance with representatives of the Employer shall obtain the permission of the Employee's immediate supervisor before leaving their place of work for this purpose and shall report back to the immediate supervisor before resuming normal duties.
(c) An authorized Union Representative shall not enter a place of work to discuss a grievance with an aggrieved Employee or Employees without first obtaining permission from the Manager of Employee Services or designate.
(d) The employer or the aggrieved or their delegates may request that a written grievance be discussed at Level 2 of the Grievance Procedure. The aggrieved's request for discussion shall not be unreasonably denied. This discussion shall be recognized as the employee's opportunity to clarify the circumstances surrounding the employee's grievance. A Union Xxxxxxx and/or Union Representative shall be allowed to be present to assist the employee at any of these discussions if requested. When a request for discussion has been approved, leave with pay shall be allowed to the aggrieved and an accompanying Union Xxxxxxx.
Meetings During Grievance Procedure. Employees involved in grievance proceedings including arbitration shall be provided time off with pay for grievance meetings with the Employer that occur at their work location during their normal working hours.

(b) An academic staff member or an association representative must obtain prior written permission of the immediate supervisors involved in order to discuss a grievance or proposed grievance during regularly scheduled instructional hours.
