TTOCs CONDUCTING UNION BUSINESS 1. Where a TTOC is authorized by the local union or BCTF to conduct union business during the work week, the TTOC shall be paid by the employer according to the collective agreement.
Parenting Leave Parenting Leave consists of Maternity Leave and Parental Leave. Parental Leave includes Paternity and Adoption Leave. An employee who qualifies for Maternity Leave may apply for such leave in accordance with Maternity Leave “Plan A” or Maternity Leave “Plan B” but not both.
Union Activities If the Contract Amount is $50,000 or more, no Judicial Council funds received under this Agreement will be used to assist, promote or deter union organizing during the term of this Agreement (including any extension or renewal term).

Iran Contracting Act If the Contract Amount is $1,000,000 or more and Contractor did not provide to JBE an Iran Contracting Act certification as part of the solicitation process, this section is applicable. Contractor certifies either (i) it is not on the current list of persons engaged in investment activities in Iran (“Iran List”) created by the California Department of General Services pursuant to PCC 2203(b), and is not a financial institution extending $20,000,000 or more in credit to another person, for forty-five (45) days or more, if that other person will use the credit to provide goods or services in the energy sector in Iran and is identified on the Iran List, or (ii) it has received written permission from the JBE to enter into this Agreement pursuant to PCC 2203(c).
Procurement from UN Agencies Goods estimated to cost less than $50,000 equivalent per contract may be procured directly from Inter-Agency Procurement Services Agency in accordance with the provisions of paragraphs 3.1 and 3.9 of the Procurement Guidelines.

Granting Leave a. An employee shall submit written notification to their immediate supervisor stating the anticipated duration of the leave at least two weeks in advance if circumstances permit, in accordance with the following:
CHILD BONDING LEAVE A prospective father, spouse, domestic partner or adoptive parent is entitled to child bonding leave of up to six (6) months. Child bonding leave must be taken within one (1) year of the qualifying event. Child bonding leave runs concurrent with FMLA/CFRA. The scheduling of child bonding leave (either on FMLA or CFRA) on an intermittent basis and/or requests for a reduced work schedule are subject to mutual agreement by the employee and the Agency/Department Head as allowed by law. Such an employee may elect to take accrued vacation or compensating time off during the period of child bonding leave except that in the case of an employee who is regularly scheduled to work less than the normal full-time workweek for the classification, paid leave shall be granted only for those days, or fractions thereof, on which such an employee would have worked but for child bonding leave. The use of sick leave during child bonding leave shall not be permitted to fathers, domestic partners or adoptive parents unless they are otherwise eligible to use it as provided in Administrative Code Chapter 3-20. Reinstatement subsequent to child bonding leave of absence shall be to the same classification from which leave was taken and the Department Head shall make his/her best effort to return such employee to the same geographical location, shift, and where there is specialization within a classification, to the same specialization. Questions as to whether or not the Department Head has made his/her best effort herein, shall not be subject to the grievance procedure.
Union Activity Each employee shall have the right to join and while off work or on official release time, assist the Union freely, without fear of penalty or reprisal, and the Employer shall assure that each employee shall be protected in the exercise of such right.
