Common use of Additional Service Increment Clause in Contracts

Additional Service Increment. An employee who voluntarily resigns after completing continuous employment in a Weston Public Schools positions covered by this agreement for at least fifteen complete school years shall have her terminal year's salary (base + holiday pay + longevity pay) increased by ten percent, provided the employee furnishes the employer with written, irrevocable notice of resignation no later than March 1 of the year before the year in which the resignation is to take effect. In the event that resignation becomes effective before the end of a school year, this additional service increment shall be pro-rated according to the fraction of the year worked. The additional service increment shall not be applied to salary or wage payments issued in the course of or in settlement of Workmen's Compensation claims.
