Agency Demotion. The employee may demote into an available vacant position or demote to the lowest service credits position in any classification for which he/she is qualified within the geographic area. Employees who elect to demote shall be placed on any geographic area layoff list of his/her choice within the Agency for the classification from which he/she demoted.
