Air Quality And Health/Safety Committee. The Broward Teachers Union shall appoint two (2) people to serve on the district's Air Quality Committee. These representatives may bring recommendations and notifications of issues involving Indoor Air Quality to the attention of the Facilities Task Force Committee for appropriate redress. Each site’s Faculty Council, or subcommittee thereof, may review health/safety/air quality issues and make recommendations addressing such issues to the site principal/ administrator. If a majority of the Faculty Council at a site is not satisfied with the principal’s/administrator’s response and the response of the School Performance & Accountability Office as provided in Section A above, they may request that the Labor Management Committee review the matters. The Labor Management Committee may recommend new/modified contract language and/or school board policy addressing concerns related to health/safety issues affecting bargaining unit members.
