Common use of Alternate Format Requirements Clause in Contracts

Alternate Format Requirements. The PH-MCO must provide alternative methods of communication for Members who are visually or hearing impaired, including Braille, audio tapes, large print, compact disc (CD), DVD, computer diskette, and/or electronic communication. The PH-MCO must, upon request from the Member, make all written materials disseminated to Members accessible to visually impaired Members. The PH-MCO must provide TTY and/or Pennsylvania Telecommunication Relay Service for communicating with Members who are deaf or hearing impaired, upon request. The PH-MCO must include appropriate instructions on all materials about how to access, or receive assistance with accessing, desired materials in an alternate format.
