Amenities. The parties agree that it is the responsibility of the employer to ensure that the amenities prescribed by the Code of Amenities are provided as a minimum. Where, however, that standard is not maintained due to an action or event beyond the control of the employer, the Unions agree that the employer should be allowed reasonable time in which to rectify the problem. If the employer acts promptly to rectify the problem, there should be no interruption to work from industrial stoppages, bans and limitations.
