American Cancer Society Facts and Figures Sample Clauses

American Cancer Society Facts and Figures. A custom version CiNA Deluxe with a county variable (data item 90) is produced for the American Cancer Society and IMS to calculate incidence projections for the ACS’s signature annual, biannual, or triennial Facts & Figures publications: Cancer Facts and Figures (CFF), Cancer Facts and Figures for African Americans, Cancer Facts and Figures for Hispanics/Latinos, Breast Cancer Facts & Figures, Colorectal Cancer Facts & Figures, Cancer Treatment & Survivorship Facts & Figures, and the accompanying statistics articles published in the CA- A Cancer Journal for Clinicians. IMS prepares the file(s) and conducts the first steps in the methodology. The output are released to one researcher at ACS (currently Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxx) who completes the final steps to generate the national and state-level projections that are published in the reports. Registries have previously agreed that the value of this project to the cancer surveillance community is sufficiently great to make this a standing use of the NAACCR data submissions. Since a county identifier is required for linkage to Census data to compute the projections, an active consent is requested.
