Common use of Amicable Relations Clause in Contracts

Amicable Relations. The Employer and the Union recognize that the Employer's operations are different from other industries because of the medical care provided to the community. Thus, the parties agree to the following: (a) There shall be no strikes, lockouts, sympathy strikes or other economic activity during the term of this Agreement. (b) Should a violation of this Section occur, the Union agrees to cooperate fully and completely with the Employer during such occurrence and to take all actions within its power to prevent or terminate any violation(s) of this Section. The Union shall immediately notify all employees that such action is prohibited by this Section and is not in any way sanctioned or approved by the Union and shall order all employees to return to work at once. (c) Neither party shall negotiate upon the merits of any dispute involved until the action is fully terminated and normal operations have been resumed. (d) The Employer, CPMG, and those employees who are Local 7 members agree to work together to support an environment that provides excellent customer service and patient care. (e) Any violation(s) of this Section shall be cause for employee disciplinary action which shall not be subject to review through the grievance procedure upon any ground other than whether the employee violated this Section.
