Common use of Amount of Holiday Time Clause in Contracts

Amount of Holiday Time. a. Normal Hours of Work Exceeding 40 Hours Per Week Employees in active service during a calendar year and whose normal hours of work exceed 40 hours per week shall be entitled to 24 hours off with pay in lieu of paid holidays per calendar year during a calendar year. The amounts of time off provided above represent the maximum amount of time off to which an employee is entitled. These maximums are not guarantees; an employee is not entitled to any greater amount of time off in a calendar year than that which he/she has earned for that calendar year under the provisions of subsection 2 of this Article, below.
