Xxxxxx Xxxx,” and “Date Rape” Drugs The parties to this Agreement understand that in 1991, the New Jersey Commissioner of Health promulgated rules and regulations which classify anabolic steroids as Schedule III CDS. The parties to this Agreement recognize that the problem of the unlawful use of anabolic steroids by school-age children is a particularly serious one, and that this problem is not limited to student athletes, but also involves students who use these especially dangerous substances with the intent to enhance their physical appearance. The parties to this Agreement recognize that these substances often have profound, long-term adverse side effects, and that their unlawful use by children cannot be tolerated. The parties to this Agreement also understand that it is illegal in New Jersey to use, possess, or distribute any stramonium preparation, commonly referred to as "Jimson weed”, and that it also is illegal for any person to distribute or possess substances sometimes referred to as “date rape” drugs, including gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), Rohypnol (roofies), and flunitrazepam (N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5.2 and 5.3, effective August 8, 1997; N.J.S.A. 2C:35-2 and 2C:35-10.5).
