Annual Physical. If the initial and annual physical examinations are not provided for by the State, the employee may have the examination done by a physician of his/her own choice without loss of compensation. However, if the initial and annual physical examinations are made available by the State and the employee prefers his/her own personal physician, then the time spent for this purpose shall be charged to sick leave and the cost of the examination shall be at the expense of the employee. An employee must have prior approval, for operational reasons, to leave the work site to take a physical examination.
