Common use of ANTI-NEPOTISM (SFMTA Clause in Contracts

ANTI-NEPOTISM (SFMTA. 115. No employee of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency shall knowingly sign up for an assignment that reports directly to or directly supervises the employee’s spouse, domestic partner, parent or child. SFMTA management shall not knowingly assign an employee to such a position. If an employee is in such a position on July 1, 2001 or if changes occur that cause an employee to be in such a position during the term of this Agreement (including but not limited to organizational restructuring, changes in familial relationships, or changes in reporting relationships caused by operation of the Civil Service rules), the following shall occur: the first represented employee of the two affected employees who has an opportunity to sign up, bid for, or be assigned to a different assignment for which he or she possesses the appropriate qualifications shall be required to do so. This provision is not intended to affect the rights of any employee under the Civil Service rules.
