Common use of Appearances Clause in Contracts

Appearances. Leave with pay shall be granted for appearances, in connection with an employee’s officially assigned duties, before a court, legislative committee, judicial or quasi-judicial body as a witness in response to a subpoena or other direction by proper authority.
