The 'Application - General' clause defines the overall scope and applicability of the agreement or specific provisions within it. Typically, this clause clarifies which parties, transactions, or subject matter the agreement covers, and may outline any exceptions or limitations to its reach. For example, it might specify that the terms apply to all products supplied under the contract, except those expressly excluded. Application - General. 1. The provisions of the C/I Addendum shall supercede any/all contrary application and/or interpretation of the Labourers Standard ICI Agreement (the “Agreement”). All provisions of the Agreement not otherwise modified herein shall remain in full force and effect.
2. The provisions of the C/I Addendum are intended to:
a. facilitate the recovery of lost markets, and
▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇ the employment of Union members in economically viable businesses, and
c. encourage cooperative participation between the signatory employers and the Union in resolving workplace issues, adapting to changes in the economy, developing workforce skills and developing a workforce and a workplace that promotes productivity,
3. The C/I Addendum shall govern only commercial/institutional work which is within the work jurisdiction of the labourers and which is being performed by bargaining unit members who are employees of a signatory CLR member Employer that performs commercial/institutional work.
Application - General. A. Coating and paint application shall conform to the requirements of the Society for Protective Coatings Paint Application Specification SSPC-PA1, latest revision, for "Shop, Field and Maintenance Painting".
B. Thinning shall be permitted only as recommended by the manufacturer and approved by the Engineer, and utilizing the thinners stated in Sections 2.04, 2.05, 2.06 and 2.07.
C. Each application of coating or paint shall be applied evenly, free of brush marks, sags, runs, with no evidence of poor workmanship. Care shall be exercised to avoid lapping on glass or hardware. Coatings and paints shall be sharply cut to lines. Finished surfaces shall be free from defects or blemishes.
D. Protective coverings or drop cloths shall be used to protect floors, fixtures and equipment. Care shall be exercised to prevent coatings or paints from being spattered onto surfaces which are not to be coated or painted. Report to the Engineer surfaces from which materials cannot be satisfactorily removed.
E. When two coats of coating or paint are specified, where possible, the first coat shall contain sufficient approved color additive to act as an indicator of coverage or the two coats must be of contrasting color.
F. Film thickness per coat as specified in Sections 2.04, 2.05, 2.06 and 2.07 are the minimum required. If roller application is deemed necessary, the Contractor shall apply additional coats as to achieve the specified thickness.
G. All material shall be as specified.

4. The Union shall not restrict/limit, in any way or for any reason, an Employer's right to contract for work on a project and to complete such work. The foregoing shall apply regardless of the union affiliation, or
Application - General. 3. This Code applies to the conduct of all Registered Participants during the business, activities, and Events of ACA, its Members, and affiliated organizations, including, but not limited to competitions, practices, evaluations, treatment, or consultations (e.g., massage therapy), training camps, travel associated with organizational activities, the office environment, and any meetings.
4. This Code also applies to the conduct of all Registered Participants outside of the business, activities, and Events of ACA and its Members when such conduct adversely affects ACA’s relationships (and the work and sport environment) or is detrimental to the image and reputation of ACA or a Member.
5. In addition, this Policy will apply to breaches of the Code that occurred when the Registered Participants involved interacted due to their mutual involvement in the sport or, if the breach occurred outside of the sport environment, if the breach has a serious and detrimental impact on the Individual(s).
6. This Code applies to Registered Participants active in the sport or who have retired from the sport where any claim regarding a potential breach of this Code occurred when the Registered Participants was active in the sport.
