Part-Time Employee Seniority. There shall be a separate seniority list for part-time employees. Seniority for part-time employees shall be based on straight- time hours actually worked. In the event a part-time employee is transferred to full-time status, the employee shall serve a ninety (90) calendar day probationary period, during which time he may be laid off or terminated by the Employer without regard and without recourse to this Agreement. Upon competition of the probationary period, the employee’s seniority shall commence from the date the employee was transferred to full-time status.

  • Part-Time Employee Part-time employee" means an employee who is normally scheduled to work fewer than 80 hours in a biweekly payroll period.

  • Part-Time Employees Employees who are scheduled to work less than forty (40) hours per workweek.

  • Part-Time Employment Monthly compensation for part-time employment will be pro-rated based on the ratio of hours worked to hours required for full-time employment. In the alternative, part-time employees may be paid the appropriate hourly rate for all hours worked.

  • Regular Part-Time Employees A regular part-time employee is one who works less than full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular part-time employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement. Regular part-time employees shall receive the same perquisites, on a proportionate basis, as granted regular full-time employees.

  • Shift Employees Employees who work rotating shift patterns or those who work qualifying shifts shall be entitled, on completion of 12 months employment on shift work, to up to an additional 5 days annual leave, based on the number of qualifying shifts worked. Qualifying shifts are defined as a shift which involves at least 2 hours work performed outside the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding overtime.
