Application to Part-Time Teachers. a. In the selection of teachers for lay-off, and for purposes of recall, a part-time teacher who is senior to another teacher shall be retained: i. if the junior teacher’s position is of the same percentage of time; ii. if the junior teacher’s position is of a lesser percentage of time and the senior teacher elects to claim it; iii. if the junior teacher’s position is of a greater percentage of time and the senior teacher elects to claim it, providing the percentage of time claimed is no more than .2 F.T.E greater than the position from which the senior teacher has been laid-off.
