Common use of Appointment Prior to Vacancy Clause in Contracts

Appointment Prior to Vacancy. Upon recommendation of the department head, and with the approval of the County Administrative Officer, a person may be employed for training purposes for a period of time not to exceed two (2) weeks prior to the termination of services of the employee being replaced. The employment may be in the same position as the person being replaced.
