Xxxxxxx Time Off. Upon request of an aggrieved employee, a xxxxxxx shall be allowed reasonable time off during working hours, without loss of compensation, for representational purposes in accordance with Section 2.1 A. of this Contract, provided the employee represented is in the xxxxxxx'x designated area of representation. Release time for these purposes is subject to prior notification and approval by the xxxxxxx'x immediate supervisor. Upon mutual agreement of the parties, a reasonable number of additional stewards can also be granted reasonable time off under this section.

Xxxxxxx Time Off. The Employer shall allow time off without pay to any employee who is serving on a Union committee or as a delegate, providing all requests for time off are reasonable and do not interfere with the proper operation of the business, and provided forty-eight (48) hours written notice is given to the Employer by the Union specifying the length of time off.
Xxxxxxx Time Off. A xxxxxxx shall be allowed reasonable time off for the purposes defined in Section 3.5.2, above, with the approval of his/her department head. It is recognized that performance of the xxxxxxx’x job duties comes first.
Xxxxxxx Time Off. Whenever investigation or processing of formal grievances is or performing Union activities described in Section 1 of this article are transacted during working hours, only that amount of time necessary to bring about a prompt disposition of the matter will be utilized. The AFSCME President, First Vice President, Field Vice President, Camps Vice President, Institutions Vice President and the Chief Xxxxxxx will be permitted reasonable time off without loss of pay to perform his/her responsibilities. Such reasonable time off as requested by the Executive Board, shall be based on past practice, including up to full time leave, as approved by the Chief Executive Officer. Reasonable time off will not be interpreted as full-time leave unless approved by the Chief Executive Office. All other stewards will be permitted, not to exceed 20 hours per month time off without loss of pay for investigating or processing formal grievances, subject to manager approval. Such reasonable time off for Union Officers who are not off full-time shall be subject to Department management approval pursuant to section 3. In the event an alternate xxxxxxx acts in place of the regular xxxxxxx during the absence of a regular xxxxxxx, the time spent by the alternate xxxxxxx will be included in the time off permitted without loss of pay for the regular xxxxxxx as provided for herein. Additionally, alternate stewards will be permitted time off as provided for herein only in the event of the bona fide absence of the regularly designated xxxxxxx. Time required to conduct grievance hearings shall not constitute investigating and processing time.
Xxxxxxx Time Off. Xxxxxxx(s), chapter chairperson, or general chairperson shall be allowed reasonable time off for the purpose defined in section 3.5.2 above, with the approval of the department head or designee. It is recognized that performance of the xxxxxxx’x, chapter chairperson’s, or general chairperson’s job duties comes first.
Xxxxxxx Time Off. Subject to the Court’s operational needs, a Xxxxxxx may be granted reasonable time off from their scheduled Court workday or shift without loss of compensation for representational purposes described in Section 8.1 above and training for up to a maximum of three (3) stewards, not to exceed two (2) days per xxxxxxx per year. 8.6.1 Such paid release time is subject to the advance notification and approval of the Xxxxxxx’x immediate manager.
Xxxxxxx Time Off a. HACLA shall provide leave for xxxxxxx training, up to 8 stewards at the same time, two times per year. HACLA shall be reimbursed by AFSCME for time spent by stewards during these training periods. HACLA shall provide a designated pay code for xxxxxxx training time. b. Stewards shall collectively be provided with up to 13.5 hours of time off per month to conduct union business. A xxxxxxx’x time spent in training pursuant to Section 3(a), meet and conferring with HACLA or participating in any meetings part of the disciplinary process shall not be counted against the 13.5 hours. c. Whenever investigation or processing of formal grievances is to be transacted during working hours, only that amount of time necessary to bring about a prompt disposition of the matter will be utilized. d. Unless otherwise approved, stewards shall give 72 hours’ notice in advance of the use of Xxxxxxx’x Time Off to the Human Resources Director, their Supervisor or Manager, their Department Head, and the Department Head of the affected employee. Notice is to include the date, time and duration of the time that is to be utilized.

  • Time Off The company recognises that sufficient time off to attend to personal matters and for recreation are important to the employee’s wellbeing, job satisfaction and overall productivity. Accordingly, time off may be taken with the consent of the Company, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. In considering the approval to have time off, the Parties will have regard to the current works programme and the urgency of the reason for time off. In the event that time off is to be taken, it will be the employee’s obligation to advise the Company in advance or as soon as practicable on the day of absence, recognising that unplanned absences can cause costly disruption to programmed works and are a major source of annoyance for the company, other employees and clients. The object of offering flexible working hours is that in return employees will take very seriously their obligation to turn up when they are expected. In view of the disruption caused by unplanned and or notified absenteeism, repeated failure to observe the protocol for time off would constitute misconduct.
