Approval for Temporary Traffic Arrangements and Control. The Contractor shall make all arrangements with and obtain the necessary approval from the transport authorities and the local Traffic Police for temporary traffic arrangements and control on public roads. In the event that the Contractor, having used its best endeavours, fails to secure the necessary approval from the transport authorities and the local Traffic Police for temporary traffic arrangements and control on public roads, then the Authority will use its best endeavours to assist the Contractor to secure such approval but without responsibility on the part of the Authority to do so.

Approval for Temporary Traffic Arrangements and Control. In addition to any other requirements stated in the Contract, temporary traffic arrangements shall be in accordance with conditions and restrictions imposed by the BMC. The Contractor shall make all arrangements with and obtain the necessary approvals from the Engineer for temporary traffic arrangements and control. No temporary traffic arrangements shall be implemented until all approvals have been obtained and agreement reached with the relevant authorities. Copies of correspondence, approvals and agreements shall be forwarded to the Engineer at least 1 week before the planned implementa- tion.
