Common use of APPROVED Clause in Contracts

APPROVED. “work-related experience" is defined to mean work experience for the purpose of obtaining vocational certification. Work-related experience shall be approved in writing by the Superintendent prior to the beginning of work. a. The formula for transposing clock hours as earned in approved work-related experience shall be as follows: 50 hours of college approved and supervised work experience or 100 hours of work experience not college approved or supervised shall be counted as one (1) credit for the purpose of salary advancement. b. In college approved and supervised work-related experience, the teacher shall have the option of using either the earned college credits or the District approved work-related experience credits, but not both, for salary advancement. c. Work-related experience credit for lane change purposes should be limited to a maximum of ten (10) hours per week when school is in session.
